About Andrew Bermudez
Andrew Bermudez is a commercial real estate technology entrepreneur with an extensive background in commercial real estate brokerage, sales, leasing and lead generation. Andrew is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of Digsy an online portal that makes it easier to find, lease and buy commercial real estate. Digsy also helps property owners & brokers generate more clients and fill more listings without cold calling.
Andrew was born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and moved to the U.S. in 1993. In high school Andrew taught himself how to code software and design websites. He was very introverted and wanted to become more sociable. So once he got out of high school he got a job where he would be forced to walk up to people and talked to them. This is how he got into commercial real estate leasing & sales at Lee & Associates in Irvine, CA.
After being on the job for 3 months, Andrew noticed the ways to generate tenants & buyers to represent or fill listings was time-consuming and slow. He started building software to generate leads and market listings online and via email. His sales production numbers started to climb quickly and became Vice President and partner of Lee & Associates at the age of 24. One and a half years later, he was promoted to Senior Vice President with Founders shares and ran a team of 5. He continued to invest in improving his marketing and sales automation software to source more clients and fill more listings.
Andrew saw a big opportunity in making this technology available to brokers worldwide, so he struck out on his own and Founded Digsy, Inc with 2 other co-founders. One founder was a former programmer who worked for Google. The other founder was a UI/UX software engineer who's previous company was acquired for millions of dollars by SK Telecom. Andrew got investment to build the company from the Board Member of Zillow, a former VP at LoopNet, a former CEO of Apple Computer, angels and venture capitalists.
